At Axelerant, we are looking for Vue.js Developers to join our delivery team building robust and scalable web applications. You will be leading the frontend efforts for the application needs of the clients by engaging in hands-on tasks to ensure that the deliverables meet defined objectives within the planned timeline.

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate strong frontend development skills and passion to develop a pleasing user experience
  • Reviewing the work done by other frontend developers and unblocking them if required
  • Own technical design and solutions of moderate to complex features from features all the way through from analyzing requirements to technical design and launch
  • Analyze requirements and identify gaps/ambiguities in requirements
  • Develop unit and automated integration tests that give the team confidence to deploy to production on a predictable cadence
  • Convert the shared UI designs and UX instructions into functional Progressive Web Applications
  • Write proper documentation for the features and components you build

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in web applications using Vue.js and Nuxt.js
  • 2 + years of experience in using agile methodologies
  • Expert of core frontend web technologies: HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
  • Ability to build large-scale frontend websites and design systems that are performant and loosely coupled
  • Experience building user interfaces from the ground up using tools such as Sass, PostCSS, Tailwind, etc
  • Experience with writing automated (unit/integration/e2e) tests
  • Experience building cross-browser solutions and visual regression testing
  • Good knowledge of how to build high-performance, highly scalable technology platforms
  • Proficient with source control systems such as Git and platforms like GitHub/GitLab
  • Proficient in Object-Oriented and Functional Programming in JavaScript
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to work with a geographically distributed team

Preferred

  • Passion for the web and open source development
  • Experience with Node.js and NPM ecosystem
  • Experience interacting with RESTful and GraphQL APIs and integration with CMSes (Storyblock, Drupal, etc)
  • Experience with CI systems (like Travis, GitHub Actions, or Circle)
  • Experience providing technical support or consulting is strongly preferred
  • Understanding of BDD and TDD and willing to write the test automation
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or related discipline
  • Ability to work with a geographically distributed team

Special Considerations: All of Axelerant's roles are considered work from anywhere. However, some jobs are regionally specific due to sales or other onsite considerations. For example, when living in Costa Rica and applying for a US sales role, we will not consider you for that job opening. Except for regionally specific jobs, like UK/US-based account executives or Canadian-based software contributors, our salaries are paid per India-based compensation plans. Also, we typically expect people to have a two-to-four-hour crossover with the 11 AM to 7 PM India (UTC+05:30) timezone each workday for meetings and coaching.
