Remote Inning is looking for a technical content writer to join our team. This is our first position that does not involve writing code for our clients. We are looking for developers who loves creating content like blog posts. The selected candidate will write blog posts for our blog related to our key services (Django and JavaScript) and remote work. We are not hoping you to be an expert in both frontend and backend. Therefore you will help hire another content writer for say Frontend if you are a Python backend developer.

Key responsibilities

  1. Creating meaningful technical content takes time and effort. We are not looking to create blog posts with the title say X vs Y framework. Our goal is to increase the readerโ€™s knowledge at the end of the post. We are aiming to publish 4-5 blog posts per month. We will discuss the topic for the post internally before you start working on it.
  2. You will be leading the content work in the company. We are looking for folks who like to start new initiatives and takes responsibility for their work. Apart from technical posts, you will also be working on posts related to remote work. Our team members are working remotely for many years (before Covid). We would like to share our learnings with the world as well.
  3. You will be working with other software developers in the company. Usually, our new hire starts working with us by writing a blog post. But as they start working on client projects, they get busy. Writing a few posts is easy but maintaining consistency is hard. Therefore we are looking for a dedicated content writer. Our team is friendly and will be happy to share ideas with you and review your posts as well.
  4. You will also share the blog post on social media like Twitter, Linkedin etc.

This is a 6-month part-time (15-20 hrs/week) contract position. The compensation for this position is INR 30,000 per month. We are hiring for the first time for this position.
