Role: Senior Ruby on Rails Developer  Position Type: Full-time | Hybrid + flexible Technology / Framework: Ruby / Ruby on Rails (RoR) Relevant experience: Minimum 6-7 years in RoR Location: Dharamsala ( Himachal Pradesh) | Hybrid + flexible Timing:  Flexible / 5 days a week Core communication hours: 1100hrs to 1500hrs  

Key Responsibilities: - Implement new features in a timely manner - Demonstrate the ability to make informed choices after due diligence, impact assessment & solve complex problems - Design and build clean, efficient, testable, and reusable code/modules utilizing industry standards - Ensure that the code that is delivered meets the Ruby/ROR/and related framework’s convention and best practices - Develop and execute module tests. Write automated tests to prevent regression - Adhere to the company’s and clients' policies & work processes - Share learnings with team members

Experience & Skills Required: - Hands-on in Ruby/ROR/HAML and related frameworks and have shown exemplary skills in the recent past, coming up with quality solutions for challenging requirements - Capable of taking specific features from concept to shipping without being micromanaged, by designing appropriate data models and system architecture for given business requirements - Good understanding of object-oriented programming, basic design skills, and deep knowledge of MVC design patterns and their working - Hands-on in JavaScript/ HTML/ CSS/ Ajax/ jQuery - Solid understanding of Git-based versioning systems - Expertise in databases (MySQL or Postgres, etc) and experience in building complex SQL and ensuring their performance/security  - Ability to write and implement tests using Rspec, Cucumber, etc   - Working knowledge of JIRA / Asana / Communication tools, etc  - Self organized and willing to adapt to tools used by the Company and the client  - Good English communication skills, both spoken and written - Good listening skills. It matters :)

**Good to Have: ** - Experience using Heroku, AWS - Japanese proficiency (reading)
